Connecting Instruments
Here we will explain how to connect musical instraments and a microphone
and make a multi-track recording. One mic will record the vocal, and Input
1 will record the electric guitar.

Lower the master fader of the VS-890 to the minimum
position.
Connect instruments and microphones to the INPLIT jacks.
Microphone
In order to record the
electric guitar with the best
possible sound quality,
please use an active type
guitar. Alternatively, use a
direct box (such as the
BOSS DI-1) or a compact
type effect unit.
In this case, the compact
effect unit will be used to
lower the impedance.
When you do not want to
use an effect provided by a
compact effects unit, have
its power switched on,
and the effect switched
off (THRU status).
