Enhanced Tone Wheel Modeling
Play the demo songs:
1) Press and hold SPLIT and press H-BAR MANUAL.
2) Press preset button 1 or 2 to star t/stop the song.
3) Press the PRESET button to exit.
Selecting Preset Patches:
1) Press the PRESET button so it is lit.
2) Press and hold the BANK button and press button 1 through 8 to select the Bank.
3) Press a number button 1—8 (so it is lit) to select a Patch.
4) Play the VK-8 and hold down as many notes as possible to show full polyphony.
Select different Tone Wheel models and adjust Leakage: (Start with Preset 1–1)
1) Press the button in the Tone Wheel section to switch between models.
The differences between models will be more apparent when OVERDRIVE is set to Std,
the TONE knob is at 12 o’clock, PERCUSSION is off and REVERB is near MIN.
2) While holding a chord, turn the leakage knob from MIN to MAX.
Enhanced Rotary Speaker & Amp Simulator
While holding a chord, press the SLOW/FAST button to change the Rotary speed.
Show the Amplifier models and Overdrive:
1) Press the button in the Amplifier section to switch between amp models.
2) Turn the Overdrive knob slowly from Std to MAX.
3) Turn the TONE knob slowly from FAT to BRIGHT.
Realtime Control & Authentic Design
Note all the easily accessable controls for Percussion, Reverb, Vibrato and Chorus:
1) Press the Percussion buttons to create varying attacks to the notes.
2) Press the button in the Reverb section to switch between types. Turn the knob.
3) Note the authentic location of the Vibrato and Chorus knob and try some variations.
Create effects with the D-Beam:
1) Press the D-Beam “ON” button so it is flickering.
2) Press the selector button in the D-Beam section to select different effects.
3) While playing with the right hand, pass your left hand over the beam.
The look and feel of a traditional tone wheel organ:
1) Point-out the authentic “Waterfall” key design. Slide your hand up and down the
keyboard in a sweeping motion for a glissando effects.
2) Notice the fast key action and play one note in fast succession using several fingers.
3) Use the 9 harmonic drawbars to alter the tone of the organ while playing.
To play Other Tones, press PRESET (unlit), select a tone and push all the drawbars up.
