Working with files
Working with files means you can transfer the Style, Song, User Program files between your
EXR-E
2
flash memory and your computer. The files get into a specified folder on your
computer. The name and the path of this folder can set in the Settings menu’s Directories…
entry.

Also means to make some operation with these files. You can delete or rename them and see
more information about them.
You must to connect the EXR-E
2
flash memory to the PC via the USB protocol. The
“PC<->EXR” messages on the keyboard’s display show you that the connection state is
living. Press the [USB] button on your keyboard to make a connection between the EXR-E
2
flash memory and your computer when the EXR-Studio is running. The software
automatically detected the connection and open the EXR-Commander window. You can close
this window and open again. Choose EXR Commander command from the Function menu or
click on the toolbar over the icon to show the commander window.
The window will be close automatically when you cancel the USB connection. Press the
[USB] button on your keyboard again and use the [YES] button to cancel the connection.
EXR-Commander window
The EXR-Commander window has two panels. Normally the left side contains the list of files
on the PC and the right side contains the list of files in the EXR-E
2
flash memory, but you can
change them with the Swap panels function in the View menu or the icon on the toolbar.
Both of them show only same type of file: Style, Song or User Programs.
Some functions effect on the selected files only. You can select one or more files with the
standard Windows selecting methods (Shift/Ctrl + left mouse click or arrow keys). The
selected files are showed different color background.
